Go to "example.org/limesurvey/admin". If you configured everything correctly, the LimeSurvey installer should be starting - just follow the instructions. You will be asked whether you wish to create the database and/or create the tables inside the database. LimeSurvey will then create the needed tables in the database.

You are done when the installation finishes! Open your browser and enter the URL to the LimeSurvey administration. Assuming you used 'limesurvey' as the directory name to store the files in, this will be something like " ".

Both Mint and Ubuntu have easy-to-use updaters. For Ubuntu, it's just a case of clicking on the Dash icon in the dock, and searching for the Software Updater. This then checks for any updates (either to the operating system or applications), downloads them and then installs them.

That said, if you want an app that is not installed, both operating systems have "App Stores" where you can find and easily download programmes. This is where Ubuntu scores one against Mint; it is easier to find apps within its store than with Mint. Also as the Ubuntu Software Centre app store is on the dock starting this up is quick. Ubuntu also features paid apps, whereas Mint doesn't.

Like Vuze before it, LimeWire appears to be encouraging legal downloads with the LimeWire Store. The library is so far a little limited compared to competitor download stores, but we expect this will expand.

Otherwise it's business as usual on LimeWire, but with a much simplified and cleaner interface. Because it's a new release, there are still some bugs, but the basic file sharing functions as well as ever. The new design makes scanning your search results much easier, and downloading files is totally intuitive.

The built-in player is still unintrusive and useful for checking audio and video files, but no more. LimeWire goes out of its way to check you are aware of the legal implications of illegal filesharing, on installation you have to agree not to infringe copyright, and if you download a file for which LimeWire can't find a license you will be warned and can stop or continue at your discretion.

LimeWire searches remain within the P2P network, but you can open torrent files with it, and it functions very well as a torrent download client. This is not the most advertised feature of LimeWire, which may a way of keeping legal challenges at bay, but it's a shame that you can't search for torrents within the program.

Click Get InDesign below to begin downloading. Follow the onscreen instructions to sign-in and install. If this is your first time installing a Creative Cloud app, the Creative Cloud desktop app installs as well.

You need to sign in periodically for licensing validation -- every 30 days for monthly and annual members. Sign-in is also required when you download or update InDesign. For more information, see Sign in to activate your Adobe apps.

To swap my Asus Vivobook laptop for a lightweight Chromebook, I needed to be able to run some full desktop apps on my new Chromebook, specifically a music player, text editor and a photo editor. My traditional desktop apps include GIMP for photo editing, Sublime Text and VLC for offline music playback. These can be installed on Chromebook after you install Linux.

You can also install Linux on your Chromebook if you wish to do some software development. The Linux environment enables you to install development tools such as An integrated development environment (IDE) that professional software developers use to write code. My favorite is Sublime Text which is a lightweight text editor which supports numerous programming languages. But you can also install Android studio for creating Android Apps and Visual Studio for general purpose coding.

To install Linux on your Chromebook, go to Settings > Advanced > Developers. Under Linux development Environment(LDE), click on Turn on. This should bring a dialog box which starts to install the Linux development environment which will download about 450 MB of data.

I have personally installed Gimp, Sublime Text, Spotify, VLC through flatpaks. I am going to reserve the process of installing Flatpak and Snap applications on Chromebooks in a follow-up post. So keep tabs on my subsequent posts.
